Holistic Nutrition focuses on the interconnectedness of the body, mind, and spirit.
The conventional approach to nutrition mainly focuses on the physical aspect of your health. In contrast, a holistic nutritionist focuses on how your physical health can impact your mental and emotional health. Imbalances in the gut microbiome (called dysbiosis) affects brain functions (hormones and neurons signaling), so addressing one’s nutrition is paramount at supporting optimal vitality, preventing disease, balancing hormones, stabilizing mood, and addressing chronic conditions. Approaching nutrition in a holistic way means deepening our relationship with what nourishes one’s body and soul.
